My Top 5 Podcasts

Honestly 80% of what I listen to is true crime however I do shake it up from time to time. Some days murder just isn't the right topic.

I grew to love podcasts more than music when I was cleaning houses for a living. Now I just enjoy them while getting ready, when I'm cleaning my own place, or on long road trips. They keep you engaged and your mind focused, unlike music where it leaves a lot of time to get lost in thought. When I get lost in thought, it can be pretty yikes.

So here are my top 5 podcasts and why you should listen to them!

  1. True Crime Obsessed This podcast is ran by my favorite gay in the world, Patrick Hinds and thee most badass b, Gillian Pensavalle. They find a way to discuss dark topics with spots of levity. They do it in a way that is still respectful to those in their stories. I find myself smiling and laughing through each episode.

2. Dr. Death This series is MIND BLOWING! There are multiple seasons of these crazy cases of doctors (Including the infamous Christopher Duntsch) who killed so many people. It is absolutely insane to hear the damage these doctors did with no one stepping in until numerous peoples' lives had been ruined.

3. Ten Percent Happier

This is one podcast I try to listen to multiple times a week as the message is so positive. Dan Harris is a popular journalist who had a panic attack on national TV. He now has the mission of sharing what meditation and other useful tools have helped him. He always has wonderful guests that share their insights on life.

4. My Favorite Murder

This is another one of my favorite true crime podcasts where 2 beautiful and wonderful women share stories they've picked each week. I wouldn't say it's as funny as True Crime Obsessed but they still have a good amount of levity throughout. They do a lot of work to make sure the facts they give out are accurate and I love them for it.

5. This is Actually Happening

This podcast is full of stories that you wouldn't believe if you weren't hearing them directly from the person who experienced it. There's a lot of true crime but other just insane stories that definetly needed to be told. Plus the host's voice is so sexy.

Have you listened to any of these? What is your go-to podcast?

Thanks for reading,

M
